Amorim convinced that he can turn things around at Manchester United – Man United News and Transfer News | The people person

Ruben Amorim still has to find the light at the end of the tunnel in Manchester United.

The Portuguese head coach was stationed as the replacement of Erik ten Hag in the Theater of Dreams in November last year. Unfortunately, Amorim’s record has been much worse than that of its predecessor.

Ten Hag won 70 out of 128 games during his time with the Red Devils and registered a profit ratio of 54.69%.

In the meantime, Amorim has so far collected only 17 wins in 47 games for the English Giants, while he loses 18. For the record, Winstratio is 36.17%.

A bleak record in the competition

Amorim’s record in the Premier League has been particularly bad, with the Portuguese who manage only eight victories in 31 games. The run comprises 16 defeats, including the 0-3 humiliation of this weekend by Manchester City in the Etihad.

United arrived on the back of their 3-2 victory over Burnley just before the international break. That victory is expected to be the turning point for the season, after a three-game Winless start.

However, it turned out to be a false dawn, because the Red Devils were exposed by their noisy neighbors this weekend.

United ended in the Premier League last season and also lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.

Amorim’s team 14th is currently in the competition after four games, already eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

Despite the fact that he has invested heavily in the attack this summer, United has so far managed only four goals in four games in the competition. Amorim, understandably, feels the heat in the Theater of Dreams.

Amorim remains confident

The defeat of the weekend was heavily investigated by experts and fans, and many are already calling for Amorim’s head. The 3-4-3 formation of the Portuguese still has to bear fruit at Old Trafford, which has further complicated things.

According to the acclaimed journalist Fabrizio Romano, however, the former sports manager is convinced that he can turn things around.

The acclaimed journalist was asked in his own Givemesport -Newsletter Whether United still has 100% faith in their manager. Romano replied: “It is of course a difficult moment, but Amorim wants to do his best for Man United, he is convinced that he will sort things over time.”

The Premier League giants are then confronted with Chelsea in Old Trafford on Saturday 20 September. A victory would give Amorim some breathing space, but a defeat could see the wolves coming to the door.
