The U21s of Manchester United achieved a stunning 2-1 victory over local Rivals Manchester City last weekend, extending their winning run.
The side of Travis Binnion won all three of their PL2 matches this season, with Chido Obi opening the score against the city before Amir Ibragimov yielded the winner in the 83rd minute of a Shea Lacey Cross.
JJ Gabriel has stolen all the spotlight lately, and rightly so, but Ibragimov is a talent that seems to have gone a bit under the radar.
The 17-year-old is on fire in this campaign and has been given a goal in each of his four performances, including three in three for the U18s and the winner in the U21 Manchester Derby after he started as a replacement.

The fact that he can do everywhere in midfield and wide is a bonus, in which Binnion uses him in a somewhat withdrawn role on Sunday.
After the game, the coach spoke against The Manchester Evening NewsAnd praised his intelligence level and the Vechtgeest that he continues to show.
“He has had a slight positional change, but he has all the tools to really do well. Amir is still an attacking player, he learns the deeper role,” Binnion explained.
“He is intelligent. He has to tidy up things, but he is a warrior. If you are intelligent and a warrior and want to do everything well with and without the ball, you will cause problems.
Coach can’t stop
“He played 90 minutes yesterday and came up today. As soon as he was in the team, it was always in my mind to get him on the field because we attack today.”
The England U16 International is by no means the end product, but his attributes means that he can go to the top if he keeps his head down and continues to work hard.
The fact that he is played as an in -depth playmaker can open the doors for Ruben Amorim to view him in view of the clear lack of midfielders in the team of the first team.
Earlier this year he signed his first professional contract with the club and is considered internal as one of the future stars of the club.
