Amid a thousand Indigo flight cancellations affecting thousands of passengers, Airline has issued an update on the automatic refunds and full waivers for cancellations and rescheduling requests for travel bookings between December 5 and 15.
Indigo posted an image on X with the text: ‘No questions asked. In response to recent events, all refunds for your cancellations will be automatically processed to your original payment method. We are offering a full waiver for all cancellation/rescheduling requests of your bookings for travel between December 5, 2025 and December 15, 2025.”
Indigo concluded the message with another apology: “We are deeply sorry for the hardship caused.”

The government orders airlines to process refunds by December 7
The Ministry of Civil Aviation had directed the airline to complete the ticket refund process for the canceled flights by Sunday evening and “take immediate regulatory action; will be taken against the airline. “The ministry has directed that the refund process for all canceled or disrupted flights must be fully completed by 8pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Airlines have also been instructed not to charge rescheduling fees to passengers whose travel plans were affected by cancellations,” the ministry said in a statement.
