It was an abrupt end for almost half of the Minne League schedule of the Minnesota Twins prior to the Handelsdeadline last Thursday, when 10 players were moved towards the end of the day. There was certainly an expectation that the twins would move their rental players, and even Jhoan Duran would probably be moved. However, nobody could have predicted that the twins would take a scrap ball to their bull pen. At least for Griffin Jax, however, it was a step he was looking for after the fire sale started.
Dan Hayes of the Athletic reports that as soon as the Front Office of the Tweeling Deals began to close prior to last Thursday’s deadline, Jax requested to be traded.
