It is fair to say that this summer did not disappear as most Newcastle fans have in mind.
Shocking in the summer after the highlights of a season that the vast majority of us had only dreamed of, this summer it was supposed to be the one we kicked on.
Although the qualification of the Champions League of two seasons ago felt like a huge over performance, it felt this time as if we might have really arrived at the top table of the football. A conviction shared by everything that a few important signing sessions in key positions can see us that place at the aforementioned upper table, and really start to grow with the regular income on the menu. It has been a disaster so far, for many reasons.
Although the constant grumbling about PSR’s unfairness is justified, the decision of the club to enter such an important window without a dull, or CEO in the long term is even more harmful and feels like a real act of self -harm in a crucial time.
It all went bad enough until the bomb on Thursday, when our star -striker (reportedly) refused to go to Singapore, amidst rumors about … … well, you know the rest. If you are not for whatever reason, Fabrizo Romano currently has no fewer than 70 tweets on the same subject without real updates.
The simple fact is that we knew that at some point we would lose a player who we love, even the world’s biggest clubs.
The simple fact is that Alexander Isak is currently one of the world’s best strikers, and he is currently a better player than Newcastle is a club.
Liverpool is an elite club, able to win competition titles, the Champions League and pay him what we can currently. So everything about this potential movement makes sense.
What is also a simple fact is that his status of world class as a player does not justify his current behavior, which is an absolute shame.
When Eddie Howe apparently placed as much stock when building a team with a clear rule “no D ** Kheads”, it is almost tragic poetic than a player who has become a real hero, currently behaves like a massive.
If you think I sound bitter, I am.
Not to him wants to leave Newcastle, play for Liverpool, earn more money or even just want a change in environment. It is the flagrant lack of respect and decency that he shows to the club that he is currently employed. One who took a risk of him, where the fans worship him, and the players and manager helped him in the player he is.
When we signed Isak, we did this “in the dip” as the children like to say. After a good start to his career in Spain and dazzling in the euros, he had not had the best season at Real Sociedad and he scored only 6 league goals. This, possibly combined with him who struggled to realize his ‘Wonderkid’ reputation at Dortmund, had hesitantly seen larger clubs to sign him, despite his obvious qualities.
Newcastle did it. Eddie Howe did it, and he should do well to remember that.
Newcastle and Howe gave him the platform to play in the Premier League, with a huge contract. Even if he has outgrown it, he should honor it with the same respect that we have shown it until a sale is closed.
In any case, inform the club that you want to do, maybe even hand in an official transfer search, but despite what the red -oriented media preach, fans of Newcastle and the club have the right to expect that he is professional, trains and not effective strike. It is not an unreasonable request.
The whole thing has in fact been a timulation of the media, and the same points of sale and accounts that were on the arms about Trent Alexander-Arnold and the behavior of Real Madrid now create a story that Isak is being held hostage.
Before I am accused of double standards, I am not at all impressed by the way Yoane Wissa tries to develop his Brentford exit. It is a huge red flag in a player character, and indeed thinking of players similar to sealing a move to Newcastle, Moussa Sissoko and Hatem Ben Arfa were just as difficult at the end of their spells on Tynide.
Anthony Gordon? Well, he was chased on the road and had his car kicked, right ..? (Removes black -white glasses).
So an unsavory saga really has to end up anyway. The money would come from the handy, unhappy player, only want players who want to be here, etc., that is all true. But the club has the right to dig their heels and let Isak stay
One thing is certain. Newcastle United will be fine.
Htl.
