Former UFC champion Alex Pereira took note of the claims of Magomed Ankalaev’s head coach that he does not have a knockout power.
Former UFC -light heavyweight King Alex Pereira is days away from a second chance of giving Magomed Ankalaev a loss this Saturday at UFC 320. Pereira lost Ankalaev through a unanimous decision earlier this year on UFC 313, set up an immediate Rematch between the two top light heavyweights.
In anticipation of UFC 320, the pre-fight waste conversation has escalated between Pereira, Ankalaev and their respective teams. The old coach of Ankalaev moved the pot this week by making controversial claims about the knockout power of Pereira.
Coach Sukhrab Magomedov, during the UFC 320 Countdown episode, Label Pereira ‘An Old School Kickboxer’ who cannot beat an opponent with one strike. These comments came despite the fact that Pereira the will of Jiri Prochazka, Khalil Rountree JR and Jamahal Hill during his light heavyweight title line.
It was not long before Pereira had knowledge of the dubious claims of Magomedov.

“It’s just talked, he saw it in my fight with Ankalaev, but he also saw it all other fights,” said Pereira. “Even [referee Marc Goddard] said he hadn’t seen anything like that. But it’s good, let him think so. He will have a surprise.
“When those videos came out, I hit it. I don’t look at the other man, one of his things. I will see what I do and my fight with him, but I don’t want to hear or see what he is doing.
“I swear, I’m not looking at him.”
Pereira will try to put an end to the 14-Vecht undefeated stripe of Ankalaev in the Octagon on UFC 320. In their first fight, Pereira filled all the Takedown attempts by Ankalaev, but was hit on the feet.
This time Pereira is looking for revenge and an opportunity to possibly choose his largest light heavyweight rival.
