Before Eala Todoni drove, Eala also defeated French Varvara Gracheva to open her Nottingham Open Bid.
After a few sandy three-set victories, Eala could not use it against the much experienced Linette, the sixth seed of the tournament and the world no. 31.
Prior to the Nottingham Open, the 77th ranked EALA suffered a quarter -final exit at the Ilkley Open in the United Kingdom by the Canadian Rebecca Marino in Canada.
