Saudi Pro League Club Al-ittihad weigh a shock treasure Sun.

The Portugal International rejected Al-Hilal earlier this summer. He was happy to commit his future to the Red Devils, but there could be a late turn.

The sun claims today that conversations have already been held between the camp of Al-Eittihad and Fernandes.

The first contact with the player was positive. The captain of the United has reportedly asked £ 33 million a year, including bonuses, to make the switch to Al-Eittihad.

Fernandes has previously hinted that he would be willing to leave if the club decides to cash in.

United could strengthen midfield with the surprise exit of Fernandes

Fernandes made it clear that he did not want to come to Al-Hilal earlier this year. The club has since strengthened the attack with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

Cunha and Mbeumo will become undisputed starters in the attacking midfield department, which means that Fernandes may have to work here from the number eight roll.

The Portuguese are less creative from a deeper role in midfield and the tendency to lose own ownership. If Fernandes were to protect a shock output before the deadline, United may have to spend large on two midfielders.

The interest of United in Carlos Baleba is well documented. Brighton & Hove Albion reportedly appreciates him £ 115 million. The seagulls may require a large part of the funds in advance for his transfer.

In addition to him, United should follow a deal for Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace, who perhaps also cost a premium allowance. The Red Devils can easily secure movements for the duo if al-ittihad is committed to a one-off payment.

United was reportedly open to the sale of Fernandes for £ 100 million earlier this summer before his decision to stay in place. The hierarchy could demand a similar package to punish its sale in the coming days.
