The APC experts also shared nutrition tips, including science-supported and “mom-good-approved” strategies to make vegetables more attractive for children. These tips include the early exposure of children to healthy food options, getting creative with presentation to make dishes look nice and adding flavors that children are already love, such as cheese or ketchup. A registered nutritionist dietitian also gave specific recommendations for serving vegetables: ½ cup per meal for children aged 3-5 years, ¾ cup for people aged 6-9 and 1 cup for adults.
The program also contained the full line of APC and showed participants in the many possibilities to transform regular recipes into “vegetarian” meals that the whole family can enjoy.
