The AIG Women’s Open will be played for the first time in 2027 at Royal St George’s.
The championship will visit the renowned Kent -Links from July 28 to August 1, 2027.
Royal St George’s has kept the open 15 times, the most recently in 2021. Collin Morikawa became the last in a long line of remarkable champions that it produced, including Darren Clarke, Greg Norman, Sandy Lyle, Bobby Locke, Henry Cotton, Harry Vardon and JH Tayor.
In 2027 it is the turn of the best women’s players in the world to take on and compete for the challenge of the historic location for the prestigious Aig Women’s Open Trophy.

Royal St George’s was founded in 1887 by LaidLaw Purves and has a long history of championship wave with countless R&A championships and international competitions, including the Walker Cup, the Curtis Cup, the amateur Championship and the Amateur Championship for Women.
The 2026 AIG Women’s Open is played in Royal Lytham & St Annes from July 29 to August 2.
