Springfield, Mass. … the American Hockey League announced this today $ 8.4 million In the course of the 2024-25 season, the AHL and his 32 members’ clubs for donation to various charities and auxiliary funds in North America.
In addition to the hundreds of local hospitals, food banks, charity institutions, trade fair programs and other non-profit groups that this season were recipients of the charity institutions of the AHL, teams supported national disaster assistance for the devastating forest fires in California and floods in Texas, including:

- Boys & Girls Clubs of America
- Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund
- Easterseals
- Girl scouts of the US.
- Hockey fights cancer
- John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation
- Make-A-Wish Foundation
- Ronald McDonald House
- Salvation Army
- Scouting America
- United Way
- Wounded Warrior Project
And much more …
In addition to collecting funds, AHL teams returned to their local communities through countless activities, including more than 1,000 visits from players and coaches to schools, hospitals, libraries and other locations and more than 2,300 mascot performances. More than 140,000 game tarts were donated to local charity groups and items such as food, winter clothing, holiday gifts and hockey equipment were collected at various discs organized by AHL clubs.
In operation since 1936 and with franchises in 32 cities in Noord -America, the American Hockey League serves as the top development competition for players, coaches, managers, managers and broadcasters of all 32 National Hockey League teams. Almost 90 percent of today’s NHL players are graduates from the American Hockey League.
