Springfield, Mass. … President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Hockey League Scott Howson Announced today the following changes to the Hockey Operations staff of the League:
Stephen Thomson is promoted to Vice -president, hockey operations. Thomson, who has been at the League office since 2022, will be responsible for supervising activities in the field of competition, including the management of the AHL-Official Program and the disciplinary process of the competition. He succeeds Hayley Moore, who left the AHL for a position at Quartexx Management.
Jeff Jordan is mentioned Director, Hockey Operations and Central Registry. Jordan joins the League Office after he has been to the St. Louis Blues organization since 2019, the most recently he served as manager of hockey activities for the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. He takes over some of the responsibilities from Alison Izzi, who has accepted an internship in the legal department of the National Hockey League.
Michael Demarin is promoted to Senior Manager, Hockey Administration and GovernanceAnd Shannon Chiras is promoted to Manager, Hockey Activities. Both are entering their second season with the AHL.

The AHL acts as the Top Development League for players, coaches, managers, managers and broadcasters of each National Hockey League organization for the players, coaches, coaches. Almost 90 percent of today’s NHL players are graduates from the American Hockey League, and more than 130 members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL in their career.
