The biggest mistake people make when they visit Hawaii is when they pack up and leave the beach for the day and go to a restaurant for Poke. Well, I happen to think my Ahi Poke tastes better. Moreover, we can enjoy it right on the beach!
Prevent your screen from going dark
- Cut the ahi tuna into 1-inch cubes. Add to a medium bowl. Add the chopped onion and stir gently.
In a separate smaller bowl, add the mayonnaise and tamari. Stir until well incorporated.
Add the mayonnaise mixture to the tuna and onions. Mix gently until well incorporated. Garnish with fish roe (if desired). Best served fresh.
