South African Hockey is proud to announce the South African team for the upcoming Fih Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile (1-13 December 2025). This will mark the ninth performance of South Africa at the Global Junior Pronuncup, after he has protected the qualification earlier this year by being crowned African champions in Namibia.
Seven players return to Chile on the 2023 edition, including Olympians Paris-Gail Isaacs, Ntsopa Mokoena and Taheera Augousti. However, the team will be without Jenna Blaauw due to an injury, which opened the door for a new star to appear on the international stage.
Drawn in Pool D In addition to Austria, China and England, the South Africans know how to complete the importance of strongly in the group stage of the newly extended 24-team tournament, with higher pool placements that open paths to more competitive Playoff brackets.
Sa Hockey High Performance Executive Reggie Smith expressed his excitement about the balance within the group:
“This team reflects the exciting pipeline of South African hockey. With a core of experienced players from the last junior world cup and new talent that is well, we believe that this team has the quality to compete and inspire. They will proudly wear our hope of the world stage.”
