After retiring from the UFC, Henry Cejudo books the next Combat Sports Endeavor

Henry Cejudo doesn’t ride quietly into the sunset.The former Olympic gold medalist will headline Real American Freestyle 6 on February 28 at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona. An opponent for Cejudo has yet to be confirmed. RAF 6 airs on Fox Nation and is also expected to pit Clay Guida against a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the co-main event.

Cejudo announced his retirement from mixed martial arts following a unanimous loss to Payton Talbott at UFC 323 on December 6. The former two-division champion went 0-4 inside the Octagon after returning from his first retirement, which came after a second-round stoppage of Dominick Cruz in the bantamweight title fight at UFC 249. In addition to Talbott, Cejudo also fell to the likes of Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili. and Yadong Song in his second UFC stint.

Back to its roots

Before making the transition to MMA, Cejudo won the Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling in 2008 at the age of 21. Cejudo has not competed in wrestling since 2015. RAF, which held its debut event in 2025, has already booked several MMA notables with wrestling backgrounds at its events, including Bo Nickal, Yoel Romero, Belal Muhammad and Colby Covington, among others.
