Adolis Garcia may have made the catch of the year.
With one out in the first half of the second inning and the rangers that lead 2-0, Phillies – outfielder Nick Castellanos – who is located in the middle of big moments – hit a shallow flight ball in the right field.
Garcia charged at full speed and tried a basket catch under his belt line.
The ball bounced from his glove, ricochender from his leg and seemed to be destined for falling, which would have been bad news for the Rangers.
Garcia, however, maintained his focus with his bare left hand and secured the ball in a wonderful way before it hit the ground.
It was an incredible, immediate candidate “catch of the year”.
The catch turned out to be a big one in terms of maintaining the lead of the Rangers, but the Phillies won the match 4-2 and continued to build their National League East Division ahead of the collapse.
Garcia and the Rangers fell to 60-59 in the season.
This season, the dual all-star and former Gold Glove winner has a .661 Ops and struggles it individually.
However, Garcia is still some doll packing.
The 32-year-old Cubaan has 16 home runs and 63 RBIs this season and has 96 hits in the year.
Garcia also has 23 Doubles.
