Adani Airport Holdings on Thursday said that it ended the concession agreements of the land with Turkish company Celebi for the airports of Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

It also said that Celebi was instructed to immediately transfer all land treatment facilities to the company to guarantee uninterrupted activities.

The decision to terminate these concession agreements was taken after the Union government had withdrawn the security authorization of the Turkish aviation agency.

It said that Adani Airport Holding owns and operates the airports of Mumbai and Ahmedabad, as well as the Mangalore, Guwahati, Jaipur, Luckknow and Thirvananthapuram airports.

“After the government’s decision to withdraw the security authorization of Celebi, we ended the concession agreements with Celebi in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) of Mumbai and the Sardar Vallabhhahbha Patel International Airport).

“Accordingly, Celebi was instructed to immediately transfer all land treatment facilities to us to guarantee uninterrupted activities,” said a spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings in a statement.

The company said that the seamless service will continue to provide all airlines without disruptions due to new land treatment authorities that are selected by it.

“All existing employees of Celebi at CSMIA and SVPIA will be transferred to the new land treatment authorities about their existing employment conditions,” the company said.

“Land treatment activities at our airports remain unaffected. We are fully committed to maintaining the highest service standards and national importance,” the spokesperson added.
