Profile
I am forty -one years old, occasionally a digital event producer and freelance stage manager. I work like a TA and a deputy. I also work a variety on the side and I am a full -time student who works on a doctorate in Drama.
Editions and saving
My goodness, things nowadays seem to be a bit chaotic and extra. I started July by returning from my Portugal adventure. Amazingly, my school reimbursed me in time and that trip has already been repaid, which was happy because it was an expensive month – at least I expected it and had planned it pretty well to know that it would be.
I had hoped to pick up a second summer class for deputy, but the class did not have enough students who register and it was dropped, so I am one class from addition to September, when I am planned to do two. Maybe it was happy to have that workload cut in the summer, but the money would have been fun.
Cocktails in the city, one of my favorite summer events, were earlier this month. We are almost just around in a nice little park and drink cocktails from the best cocktail bars in London for the day with friends. As expected, it was as a $ 100 day to drink, but still worth it.
During a supervisor meeting earlier in the month I was told to hand in a full version of my thesis towards the end of the month, which was a bit panic, because I thought I was just working on the final chapter and had more time to go back and revisions in the other chapters. So when I didn’t drink cocktails in the city, the early parts of the month are a bit of a blur of me and my thesis. I wrapped it the morning that my best friend came to the city and sent it with a deep sigh, when I started to inns how much I could reduce my submission date without needing a new visa when I received the feedback from my advisers that it was waste, because I didn’t feel great about the whole thing.

Adventures in Europe
But I pushed that in mind and went on great adventures with one of my best friends. In what is always the most expensive journey of the year. Probably largely because it is the one who is usually two to three weeks. We went north and saw Alnwich Castle and their Gift Garden, walked the Wall of Hadrian and explored Kirkstall Abbey and Sherwood Forest on the way back to Peterborough. Then we spent a day a Highclere, the beautiful old house where they filmed a lot of Downton Abbey. We then went to Croatia and Montenegro for a long weekend and swam in the Blue Caves and went on a Game of Thrones film tour, which was quite cool. We ate a lot of ice. When we came back from that adventure, we spent a day exploring Cambridge and we started punishing. We ended the trip with two days in London, checked a few side -quests from our list and saw Rachel Zegler Evita singing the street and operation mincemeat, which was really good.
I also received excellent news from the e -mails that I should not have checked during that, that my supervisors are happy with my thesis and have just sent a stack of reactions that I am dealing with, but agree that I am on schedule to submit in September. That is wild for me because I was sure that I was at least a bit behind the old period of time. Apparently I made up in one way or another.
I also ordered a little tonne What clothes for the trip to Egypt because I am in a small panic in the desert in August and in a pyramid and not fainting, but how can’t we go into a pyramid? So I did my best to buy as I did for Iceland – clothing that I would actually like to keep and regularly want to wear, especially if there is hot weather involved. Some of those clothes doubled and came to Croatia on the BFF trip as a test drive.
My seal goals are now to ensure that I can withstand the rest of the summer without saving (I used a small amount to pay off my credit card this month) and hopefully at the end of September to concentrate on maximizing my HSA. I am aware that I may have an exaggeration this year, but I have trouble regretting it if I don’t know when I might have this kind of time in the future.
And you can always earn more money, right?

To the goals!
- Max My Roth Ira for 2024:Finished.
- Max My Roth Ira for 2025: $ 7000 to go.
- Max from my HSA– $ 4300 to go.
- Go to Egypt with my friend and family: This is paid. Holiday is in August.
- Best friend Summer adventures: This is also paid. Holiday is in July.
- Sunshine Getaway –This is officially pushed to autumn. We strive for some sunshine and cocktails for a long weekend to the cheapest decent all-inclusive that we can find in Europe the week after my doctoral defense when that is planned.
- Save $ 1,200 for my American car insurance by June
- Buy a used car in the UK– I currently have $ 10,000 in a new car account because my Toyota Matrix is on her last legs. I was saving to buy a new car, but instead I am looking for a used car in the UK after I have completed my driving lessons for around £ 5,000 or less.
- Pay for a graduated visa– This will cost around £ 4000 and I have $ 6000 on my tuition fees, so this should be good to go. We will see at the end of the year.
