In recent years, retirement ceremonies have become the norm on this race night, and 2025 is no different.

Seven-year-old Abuckabett Hanover (Betting line) is honored in the Meadowlands Winner’s Circle after his last start in the FanDuel Championship Pace Final (Race 7).

“Bucky changed my life. I am incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him,” said coach Andrew Harris. “I’ll miss him in the barn, but I’m glad he’s moving on to a new chapter that he’ll be excited about. Thanks, Bucky!”

Abuckabett Hanover, aka Bucky, the 2024 Dan Patch winner with more than $2.1 million in earnings, has stakes wins at Potomac Pace, Dayton Derby, William Haughton Memorial, Dave Brower Memorial and Tattersall Pace. He also took home the 2024 FanDuel Championship.

“Abuckabett Hanover has had a great 2024,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO and general manager of Meadowlands. “I am grateful to have seen him win three of our most important races that year. He has been a great racehorse for co-owner William Pollock and I appreciate all the positive energy he has brought to the sport over the years.”
