During Friday night’s Yankees-Red Sox-Matchup, a Yankees-Rookie grabbed his elbow when he took a switch with 88.8 MPH from the Red SOX Walker Buehler loaded with the bases. Buehler’s field cut him straight on his elbow in the second inning. The bases were loaded and the short stop was hit by a throw that was cheeky enough that he shivered with pain. Although it gave the Yankees a 7-0 lead, it was certainly not the easiest way to earn an RBI.
Well, we are talking about the star Anthony Volpe of the young Yankees, who happens to be the first Yankee -smokie that hits 20 home runs and steals 20 bases in the same season. After he had suffered the blow, he was replaced by Oswald Peraza at the start of the fourth inning.
Apparently the 24-year-old came out of the game with his elbow visibly swollen. It was worrying for Boone and the team, who could not afford any other injury. Fortunately, his X -ray report was negative. Volpe later went for a CT scan in New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and that was all clear.

After the game, manager Aaron Boone brought some much needed clarity in the press conference. The fans breathed a sigh of relief when he said“ “Good news, negative on the X-rays and CT scan.” Further, when he was asked about the current state of Volpe, Boone added, “So he’s back there. You know that I used to get a lot in the small competitions … a little stiff and painful, and hopefully nothing that keeps him out for a very long time.”
And finally, in a media, Volpe himself opened the severity of his injury. “Painful and stiff, but yes, they took me with me, and they have it all checking out. Knowing that it is structurally healthy … just has to take the swelling out,” he said.
Volpe is a player who has firmly built up his value on consistency and toughness. His scans confirm the best scenario for the Yankees, and as it seems, he will not make a stint on the IL, which seemed to be a possibility sooner.
Nevertheless, the Yankees very well dominated their old rival – the Red Sox. Again.
Yankees dominate Red Sox in series opener

The attack in the game helped them with the momentum they needed to hold their lead and eventually dominate the Red SOX for a full crowd of 46,783.
Leading the change was Jazz Chisholm JR and continued where he had gone after his long -awaited return from the injured list on Tuesday. He hit 3-out-5 that night when he wiped two bases and delivered a three-run Homer during the first inning to put the tone in the game.
Of course the captain Aaron Judge from Yankees has added an impressive game. He recorded three hits and crashed his seasonal average into a stunning .397. Despite leaving the game in the bottom of the fourth, Anthony Volpe also added a home run. And Paul Goldschmidt too. He helped the Yankees to stay in the lead and kept the Red Sox on their heels.
