Directorate Directorate (ED) raids carried out on the leader of the AAM Aadmi Party (AAP) Saurabh Bharadwaj, led to criticism from the party leaders who claimed that the relocation to divert public attention from the recent controversy about the Premier’s educational qualifications.
“AAM Aadmi party is not afraid of fake raids performed by BJP’s parrot agencies,” said the party on X.
AAP National Media who are responsible Anurag Dhanda doubted the timing and credibility of the action. “Why is this fake attack being done by Ed on Saurabh Bharadwaj? This happens because since yesterday the entire country has discussed that the diploma of PM Modi is fake and something has to be done to deduce the attention of that issue,” said Dhanda.
“Today this raid will be made in such a case when he was not a minister. How could his name rise in the scam, or how could he be accused by it?” he added, comparing the situation with that of AAP leader Satyendar Jain.
Former deputy head minister of Delhi and Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia repeated similar feelings and said: “The only reason behind the Ed -Inval in the house of Saurabh Bharadwaj was that a big revelation was made about the Prime Minister yesterday.
Earlier in the day, the ED searched 13 locations, including the home of Bharadwaj, in a money -alarm investigation in connection with alleged irregularities in hospital construction projects that were punished during the term of the AAP government. The case stems from a complaint submitted in August 2024 by the then leader of opposition Vijender Gupta, who claims corruption in 24 hospital projects worth RS 5,590 Crore, including 11 new construction and 13 upgrades in 2018-19.
The ED has not yet released an official statement in which the findings of the current searches are described.
