Another one Boulder Burgundian Festival has come and gone, and the 15th annual iteration was one for the books. This wine festival not only brings Burgundy’s storied history to Boulder, but also raises money and awareness for it Sophie’s neighborhood, There with care, Impact on educationAnd Somm Foundation. The hill and the hearth: Dubreuil-Fontaine in Basta

Boulder Burgundy Festival kicked off with the Hill and the Hearth event on It’s just that way. This intimate dinner, attended by just 45 people, provided a rare opportunity to dine alongside Christine Gruère-Dubreuil, owner and winemaker of the Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine in Pernand-Vergelesses. Refined, terroir-driven wines were paired with a carefully curated menu by Chef Kelly Whitaker. It was truly an evening to remember!

Burgundy meets Corrida: a Paulée celebration

Race was the ideal location for the festival’s beloved Paulée lunch. All 70 seats were sold out, and it’s no wonder: the menu, created by Samuel McCandless and his team, was a perfect complement to the extraordinary range of wines. Some of the country’s top sommeliers were on hand to guide attendees through a variety of Burgundian wines, including sparkling, white and red wines.

Under the Crown: Discovering Corton’s Greatness

The first event on Sunday was Beneath the Crown: Discovering Corton’s Greatness with Dubreuil-Fontaine. For wine enthusiasts, this educational seminar was one of the most exciting meetings of the weekend. Led by Christine Gruère-Dubreuil, this session focused on the Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards from the villages around the Corton hill. The event culminated in a curated tasting that allowed participants to experience first-hand the incredible expressions of the terroir in Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses.

Great tasting

The Grand Tasting is always a highlight of the festival, and this year’s event was particularly spectacular. On Sunday, Mapleton Hill Academy received a select group of producers and welcomed 80 guests for a special evening. As attendees discovered more than 60 wines from across Burgundy, Stone Cottage Studios provided exceptional live music. It was a joyful feast of the senses!

Boulder Burgundy Festival 2025 was a great success and I am already looking forward to next year. Mark your calendars and keep an eye out for the details, which will be available as early as next summer.
