Philadelphia Sixers fans have looked Tyrese Maxey Blossom in a star, went from an average of eight points per game as a rookie to a career-high 26.3 points per game last season. He is an important part of the direction where the Sixers want to go – a championship – and Maxey is happy to go for the ride.
During what was a disappointing season 2024-25, Maxey made it clear that he loves the organization and wants to be in Philadelphia for as long as possible, doing what is needed to win. He came from a low season where he drew an extension of five years, proof of how the Sixers think about him.
That has not changed. Philadelphia believes in Maxey. He has improved year after year, wanting to continue trend fans. Next season is perhaps the most important thing for the organization, because they prepared Maxey in 2020, and it could lead to the guardian to help Philly after the second round – a territory in which they have not been since 2001.
Tyrese Maxey wants to stay (and win) with the Sixers
Joel Embiid and Paul George are perhaps the two most important players on the Roster (Embiid is certainly number 1), but that is because of their health and the money they earn. The Sixers both need them to be at their best to make a run in the east, at least Embiid, but the obvious observation should not undermine what Maxey brings to the table.
Last season was difficult for all involved, especially Maxey. He started to think that he would play with two colleague stars to lead the team with Embiid and George for the most part of the season. He was wearing a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but what he had to deal with will make him a better player and leader.
Because of all this, Maxey didn’t think it was somewhere else. He did what he could do to help the never -ending injuries of the sixers before his season ended because of a sprained finger.
Most fans there may be reluctant to get their hope about next season, and that is understandable, considering what we saw a few months ago. However, one thing you can count is Tyrese Maxey. There is nowhere else that he would rather be than Philly, and Philly feels the same about him.
