Unlike most European top competitions, the English Football League (EFL) begins its new season on August 1, as well as the popular Fantasy EFL game!

Fantasy EFL has been launched for the first time and treats all three divisions of the English football competition: the championship, League One and League Two.

After a very successful inaugural season that attracted more than 100,000 registrations, the game is back for a new round of action with 40 game week in Drama.

The opening game of the season, and the first for Fantasy EFL players to sink their teeth, is under the lights on Kenilworth Road on 1 August, such as Luton Town -Gastheer AFC Wimbledon in League One.

For game week 1, only League One and League Two teams will be in action, with the championship joining the Fray in Gameweek 2.

Here are our 7+2 great reasons to try Fantasy EFL this season!

1. It is your only imagination football option for the coming weeks

Are you eagerly waiting for the return of fantasy football, but frustrated by the late start for FPL, Laliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga?

While Fantasy Premier League managers have to wait until 15 August and UCL Fantasy will start in mid-September, Fantasy EFL will return this week.

Instead of endlessly tweaking your FPL team, why would you not build a team that scores your points, for better or worse, in less than 10 days?

2. You already know many teams

Fantasy EFL treats the following three levels of the English football pyramid directly under the Premier League. As a result, you are already familiar with a number of teams and players from the past seasons.

You can choose seven players every week from the three competitions of the EFL (that is more than 1500 players from 72 clubs!). Don’t worry about last-minute changes-you can exchange players to their kick-off, so leaks or surprise sofas will not ruin your week.

In addition, you can change your selections every week without worrying about transfers.

Moreover, you will support individual teams every week, earn points for victories, draw, score two or more goals, clean sheets and away victories.

5. The double game week -pleasure does not end

Last season we expected 10 double game week and one triple, and we ended up with 19 Doubles and two triples!

In Fantasy EFL With its ‘Calendar Week’ classification from Thursday to Wednesday, you are assured of at least 16 this season.

The first is in Gamweek 3 for League One and League Two parties, while championship clubs are waiting for Gameweeke 9.

6. It is a great preparation for future FPL knowledge

Keeping up thousands of players may seem overwhelming, but it gives you an exclusive advantage when predicting the future of hundreds of FPL assets.

With this insight you can identify potential bargain players for upcoming transfer penters or future FPL seasons, in particular of the championship clubs that are promoted for the 2026/27 season.

Last season we saw talents like James TraffordMaxime WasJosh BrownhillDaniel JamesJayden BogleAnd Trai Hume come from clubs such as Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland on FEFL.

In addition, you can follow the young players of Premier League on loan as mentioned earlier.
