7 tips for hotels in Copenhagen
#1. Hotel Bella Grande

Do you like ESS Group’s Swedish hotel offering? If so, I’m pretty sure you’ll like Hotel Bella Grande too. This hotel with an Italian atmosphere is located in the middle of the city and is a nice story. The hotel’s restaurant, “Donna”, is said to be popular among Danish influencers – presumably because of its stylish backdrop (reminiscent of MJ’s in Malmö). The hotel belongs to the same hotel group as Coco, about which you can read more under point 6. The price situation is reasonably good, we paid approximately 100 euros. 1800 SEK/night for a double room in October 2025 (but without breakfast).
Address: Vester Voldgade 23 (about 11 minutes walk from the train station)

#2. Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden

With its opening in 2017, Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden quickly became the most popular ice cream snack in Copenhagen’s hotel sky. Sweden definitely struggles to match the hotel’s Bali-inspired indoor pool, framed by greenery and great lighting in both width and width.

A few years ago my sister went here with some friends for a girls weekend and got quite the Indonesian atmosphere and pool hangouts. The food in the hotel restaurant apparently wasn’t great, the organic hotel breakfast was 10/10 though!
Address: Gyldenløvesgade 19 (about 15 minutes walk from the train station)

#3. Axel Goudsmid

In Vesterbro, just a short walk from the train station, is the sister hotel Axel Guldsmeden of Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden. Here the Bali theme of Manon Les Suites returns, the decor in my hotel room was as if from a small bungalow in warmer latitudes. However, the hotel breakfast was locally inspired (and organic!) from start to finish, which I really appreciate. Here you can read a review of my stay: Axel Guldsmeden in Copenhagen: a hotel review.
Address: Colbjørnsensgade 14, (about 4 minutes walk from the train station)

#4. Hotel SP34 (by Brøchner Hotels)

The same sister who checked in at Manon Les Suites told me about Hotel SP34 (from Brøchner Hotels), a very cool little boutique hotel. Apparently there was a three-course dinner here in the hotel restaurant Vaekst, which is mentioned in MICHELIN Guide restaurantthe big draw for my food-obsessed sister and her husband. The restaurant gives the feeling of being in a greenhouse, where the vegetarian and Scandinavian menu go hand in hand with the interior.

Address: Sankt Peders Stræde 34 (about a 12-minute walk from the train station)
#5. Villa Copenhagen

Villa Copenhagen opened its doors in the middle of the pandemic (April 2020), taking over after Manon Les Suites as a Danish bucket list hotel. This hotel has a rooftop pool, apparently so popular that you can only book for a short time. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. And expensive, I must add.
Address: Tietgensgade 35 (about 5 minutes walk from the train station)

#6. Coco Hotel
When we went to Copenhagen last time, CopenKlara gave three different hotel tips: 1) Hotel Bella Grande, 2) the sister hotel Coco Hotel, alternative 3) Grand Joanne (point 7). After some back and forth discussion, the choice fell on Bella Grande, meaning Coco Hotel remains on the wish list for future visits. This hotel exudes a French atmosphere and therefore feels a bit more artistic than Bella Grande.
Address: Vesterbrogade 41 (about a nine-minute walk from the train station)

#7. Hotel NH Copenhagen Grand Joanne
The seventh and final hotel tip for this time is Hotel NH Copenhagen Grand Joanne, a stylish boutique hotel with expressions such as “vibe”, “lively buzz” And “lively atmosphere”. What that means in practice is perhaps your job to investigate in the future?
Address: Vesterbrogade 9A (about a three-minute walk from the train station)
