The UFC has concluded its temporary employment contract, as they announced on Monday that they have closed a 7-year-old $ 7.7 billion deal that will see all UFC events go to Paramount + and CBS from 2026.
The shiny part of the deal? The end of the pay-per-view model when it comes to the UFC.
“This historic deal with Paramount and CBS is incredible for UFC fans and our athletes. For the first time, fans in the US have access to all UFC content without a pay-per-view model, making it more affordable and accessible to view the biggest fights on a huge platform,” said Dana White in a press release.
“This deal places the UFC under the largest sports in the world. The exposure offered by the Paramount and CBS networks under this new structure is a huge victory for athletes and everyone who has viewed this sport and loves.”
The deal gets the UFC on average $ 1.1 billion a year from Paramount that marks the end of PPV. In the deal 13 -Premium events you can see on Paramount+ and some go to CBS.
30 Fight Night events are broadcast on Paramount+ per year, so that the total is brought to 43 UFC events every year with Paramount+ and CBS.
The deal doubles more than what the UFC received a year from ESPN, making it a huge victory for the promotion.
“I could no longer be enthusiastic about joining forces with Dana, Ari and Mark. Doers can rarely get together on an exclusive basis with a global sports kower such as UFC. The advantage of Paramount lies in the extensive reach of our linear and streaming platforms,” said Paramount CEO and chairman David Ellison in an explanation.
“Live sports remain a cornerstone of our broader strategy, stimulating involvement, growth of subscribers and loyalty in the long term and the addition of UFC’s must-round must-watch events to our platforms is a big victory. We are looking forward to delivering this premium content to millions of fans in the US afterwards.”
