Welcome to Fully fit 2026GOLF’s new platform that gives you real golfer insights on which 2026 equipment is best suited for your game. With this goal in mind, we gathered six GOLF content creators of varying abilities and put them through the gauntlet of six full-bag fittings (from driver to putter!) at six major club manufacturers in Phoenix and Carlsbad, California. Our hope: that from one of our panelists you will see nuances of your own playing and gain some lessons and inspiration from their fitting experiences.

It was a grand experiment.
Instead of sorting this year’s new releases from the major golf club companies in a way that doesn’t lead you to what’s best for your own game, we’ve done something different. We sent six of our GOLF makers to six of the leading manufacturer assembly facilities in Phoenix and Southern California six full bag fittings over the course of nine days.
The mission was simple: put together each of our panelists’ dream 2026 club setup, in the hope that you can relate to one of their games and learn more about which clubs could work for you.

Dream trip? No doubt – but also tiring! (Note the small violins.)
The panelists also included our GOLF Fully equipped gear team – Johnny Wunder (director), Jake Morrow (content manager) and myself (associate editor) – along with GOLF editors Sean Zak and Maddi MacClurg, and Fairway Jockey president Wadeh Maroun.
It was an education like no other. We learned about our swings, our games, our clubs and our bodies – like how many golf balls we could hit in a week without breaking down.

Fully fit 2026 Day 1: Ping Test Ground (Phoenix)
Jack Hirsh/GOLF
Our journey started in Phoenix on a flat grass track in the middle of an industrial park. The location of the Ping Proving Grounds makes all too sense when you consider the long industrial history of Ping’s parent company, Karsten Manufacturing.
At the Proving Grounds we encountered our first shocker of the trip: the new Ping G440 K driver, a club that could be hit all over the face and still fire the ball like a rocket. The new one S259 wedges also proved popular. Had we all just found our driver on the first stop of the trip? Sure, it was too early to make any decisions, but it was a good reminder that every company’s equipment is so good; The final selection would not be an easy task.
Fully Fit 2026 Day 2: TaylorMade Kingdom (Carlsbad, California)
;)
Adam Christensen
A quick hop across the sun-drenched desert to the Southern California coast, and we were on our way to our next stop at TaylorMade’s Kingdom. The name was apt as we changed shoes in a locker room next to Tiger Woods’ golf bag while looking at Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy’s bags from their respective big wins in 2025.
At TaylorMade, the matching wars kicked into high gear with the many permutations of their new Qi4D drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. Many of us also wanted to be fit for one Spin putterthe winningest putter family on last year’s PGA Tour.
Fully Fit 2026 Day 3: Titleist Performance Institute (Oceanside, California)
;)
Jack Hirsh/GOLF
Our next stop took us to perhaps the OEM’s most impressive facility: the Titleist Performance Institute. TPI is less of a fitting facility and more of a Candy Land for golf nerds. It is a huge 33 hectare driving range, located on a plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with 10 different greens that can be played as a par-3 or short course, designed by David McLay-Kidd.
Here our panelists were trained in Titleist’s “three D’s” of hardware fittings, while also being introduced to the latest Vokey SM11 wedges and Scotty Cameron Phantom putters – not to mention going through a ball fitting from top to bottom to thread the most important piece of equipment into the bag. We’re already halfway through, but there’s much more to come!
Fully Fit 2026 Day 4: Cobra Tour Fitting Experience (Encinitas, California)
;)
Jack Hirsh/GOLF
At the end of our first week we arrived at the back of the range at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course to work with Cobra’s team and their new OPTM metalwoods and 3DP iron range. Cobra’s Tour Fitting Experience uses their old Tour Truck to give players the experience of a Tour-level fitting, and that’s exactly what we got, especially with the addition of Tour representative Ben Schomin.
We could have ended the trip here. Cobra’s entire 2026 line, from top to bottomis the best it’s ever been, and anyone could have walked away with everything they needed to play great golf. But the show goes on!
Fully Fit 2026 Day 5: Ely Callaway Performance Center (Carlsbad, California)
;)
Adam Christensen/GOLF
During our second week of adjustments, our group was refreshed after the weekend off and ready to head to Callaway’s Ely Callaway Performance Center, where speed was the key.
Callaway’s new Quantum drivers were fast and, when combined with the new 2026 Chrome Tour golf balls, they were even fasterwith many of us seeing our fastest ball speeds of the trip. Now we all had a lot of things to think about when it came to our setups.
Fully Fit 2026 Day 6: Cleveland/Srixon/XXIO at Navy Golf Course (Cypress, California)
;)
Adam Christensen/GOLF
Our sixth and final stop on the trip took us north to Orange County, where a young Tiger Woods learned the game at the Navy Golf Course. We were all on our last swings and pushing our bodies to the limit, but sometimes that’s the best time to get fit.
On our last day we were taken through the Cleveland/Srixon lines, including their popular ZXi line of irons and RTZ wedges. If we were sure what our bags would look like, leave it to one final adjustment to give us more options than we could ever need.
And… that was a turning point. We went home armed with dozens of golf clubs custom built to our exact specifications. Which ones have we selected? View our latest WITBs below.
