5 Passing exercises every volleyball player must control | Volleycountry

Have you ever lost confidence in a match because your death destroyed? A bad reception … then another … and suddenly you just fight to stay alone on the field. 😬

I have often been there in my professional career, and that’s why I have compiled 5 simple but powerful exercises That will sharpen your movement, improve your control and make you the kind of player who trusts every coach in the back row.

📌 Here are the exercises:
1️⃣ Circle around and pass – Run small circles around a ball on the floor, receive a throw and go back accurately. Focus: fast steps + clean accuracy.
2️⃣ Pass next to the body – catch, adjust and throw it back to feel correct positioning for wide portions. Builds muscle memory.
3️⃣ Two balls, centrally passing – Move from left to side around two markings and always return to the middle for the next pass. Focus: concentration + precision under movement.
4️⃣ Pass next to the body moving – The same setup, but now you pass while you go to every side. Add speed + pressure.
5️⃣ Forward & Backward Passing – Sprint forward, shuffle back and then pass with control. Trains explosiveness + balance.

🔥 Bonus: Pass fast – 50 fast bumps in a row at low height. Perfect for Liberos & Ohs that need stability under pressure.

👉 These exercises are not complicated, but if you perform them with precision, your serve will be received up.

Ask for you: Which of these exercises do you want to try first?
