Who is the Back -up goalkeeper?
There is no dispute to the fact that Jeremy Swayman will be the starter of De Bruins this season, but who will support him? If Pastrnak focuses on balancing his passing and shooting, and not as much emphasis on assists, he should be able to easily hit 100 points again and possibly even set career-high figures.
Are prospects called early?
With all the reinforcements that were brought in during the low season, the question is: what happens to the prospects that are NHL ready? Although some of them receive the call, this will probably be due to injury, parental leave or mourning leave – and not a permanent function.
It is an unfortunate turn for prospects such as Dans Locmelis, Ty Gallagher and Georgii Merkulov that there is almost too much depth in the NHL team to separate from the experienced veterans in Boston or in Providence. Although it would be nice to see that they have an impact on the big club, there is a very slender chance that they will get a long -term look this season.
De Bruins need players such as Merkulov and Gallagher, with the lack of left -handed attackers and right -handed defender. That should give them a slight lead on players such as Locmelis, but they have to impress on head coach Marco Sturm if they want to get stuck at the beginning of October.
