Thursday evening football in week 5 of the NFL season 2025 is a confrontation in the NFC West between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams.

Let’s dive into my 49 -year -old versus rams forecasts.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams Odds

Money Line: 49ers +340 / Rams -440
Spread: 49ers +8.5 (-110) / Rams -8.5 (-110)
Total: more than 45.5 (-102) / under 45.5 (-118)

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams Best bet #1: More than 45.5 (-102)

This matchup has a lot of star power on the attacking side of the ball. Christian McCaffrey is once healthy – and when he is, he continues to run in the competition. McCaffrey will be a big help for 49ers Back -Up Quarterback Mac Jones, who fills in for Brock Purdy. Thanks to two trips, Jones has completed 53 of 80 attempts for 563 yards with four TDs and only one int. San Francisco’s attack cannot be discounted only because Purdy is out.

In the meantime, Puka Nacua van de Rams leads the competition with 503 receiving yards and 42 catches. Los Angeles is number 4 in the NFL in total attack (388.3 yards per match) and is now going against a defense of San Francisco who stands the 25th in the opponent’s completion rate. Keep in mind that Star Edge Rusher Nick Bosa is the year with a torn ACL. Matthew Stafford must be able to take advantage of Nacua and Davante Adams at his disposal.

High scoring things are generally the norm when these two division rivals in Sofi Stadium Wirwarren. Their last four matchups in the regular season in LA all have produced more than 50 points (51, 45, 53 and 51 in the past four years).

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams Best Player Prop Bet: Christian McCaffrey More than 54.5 Receiving yards (-114)

McCaffrey has taken over this number this season in three of the four games and has achieved 73, 88 and 92 Yards. The only exception was when he caught six passes for 52 Yards against New Orleans in week 2. For the season, McCaffrey has 31 receptions on 43 goals for 305 Yards and two touchdowns. He has not been able to go on the floor, on average only 3.3 meters per Carry.

The Stanford product can be expected to cause the majority of its damage in the passing game. He is confronted with a RAMS defense that has given up 19 receptions to run back this year, bound for the 11th most in the competition.
