According to The Athletic’s Fabian Ardayathree Dodger relievers could compete for a roster spot: Justin Wrobleski, Will Klein and Edgardo Henriquez.
“It goes without saying how much the Dodgers will cycle through arms that three different pitchers who will be on postseason rosters (Wrobleski, Klein, Henriquez) are a long way from being on the Opening Day roster. Perhaps the Dodgers move some of this surplus, just like they did a year ago with Ryan Brasier,” Ardaya writes.
Ardaya said these three relievers are a long way from making the Dodgers’ Opening Day roster. With spring training less than a month away, Wrobleski, Klein and Henriquez will have to show up and show up if they want to not only make the team, but contribute significantly to it.
Which Relievers can take a spot in the Dodgers’ new bullpen?
The Dodgers’ bullpen was among the worst in the league last season, struggling mightily with high ERAs, inconsistencies all over the place, and was also hit by a host of injuries. LA turned to all three at one point or another during the 2025 season and into the postseason.
Everyone has had their moment; however, it’s not enough for them to earn a spot now that the upcoming season is just around the corner.
Wrobleski is a valuable left-handed pitcher who leans on his vastly improved command and nasty slider that have made him successful. The Dodgers used him as a middle reliever and was sometimes used for multi-inning forays, filling rotation holes when necessary.
Klein is considered a World Series hero; however, his job is still somewhat in jeopardy. Nevertheless, the Dodgers have high expectations for him and if he can continue his heroics, he could be a solid, mid-range relief pitcher for LA.
And for Henriquez, he’s a promising pitcher who could be used as a key bullpen arm. He has the talent to be a potential closer, but if that’s the case, that’s unrealistic with the Dodgers right now. Still, at 23 years old, the right-handed flamethrower has all the tools to make a name for himself on this star-studded team.
The Dodgers have a lot to assess with spring training on the horizon, and fixing the bullpen in its entirety will certainly be a focus. Which of the three relievers would you like to see on the Opening Day roster?
