Boston University Heren Hockey participated on Saturday morning in the annual Scarlet and White Scrimmage in Agganis Arena with a 6-3 victory for the Scarlet team.
Here are three take -away restaurants of the scrimmage:
The scoring options of Cole Eisman are here to stay.
The second -year attacker may have a flair for announcing line -ups, but his scoring touch remains his true signature.
After leading all NCAA smokies and all terriers, with 25 goals last season, Eismanman showed no signs of delay. He scored two consecutive goals in the second period, one assisted by fellow assistant captain and defender Cole Hutson.
Eiserman opened the match on the top line of Team Scarlet in addition to first -year student Ryder Ritchie and Sophomore Transfer Sacha Boisvert. With a steady stream of fits on his side, the plaintor did not hesitate to shoot, with most of his shots on the net.
Conrad Fondrk was in a blue sweater.
Fondrk was a seasonal injury last year at the US National Team Development Program, and signing suggest that he may still recover. During the scrimmage, the first -year student wore a blue sweater, which indicates a contactless indication.
He skated on the line of Team Scarlet alongside assistant captain Jack Harvey and Senior Transfer Owen McLaughlin. Despite limited physical involvement, Fondrk made its presence feel by scoring a goal in the first period.
If his shooting from his NTDP days-especially translates his One-Timer-Zich to the collegial level, Fondrk could arise as an important attacking weapon. If he fits before the season opener on Saturday, his Rookie Flair can supplement the experienced experience of Harvey and McLaughlin.
Bednarik-Murtagh-Svoboda is something to pay attention to.
Sophomores Kamil Bednarik and Brandon Svoboda, together with first -year student Jack Murtagh, showed impressive defensive bravery as ahead.
Last season, Bednarik and Svoboda provided a regular contributors for the Terriers. Bednarik placed a 2-17-19 Stat Line and recorded 29 blocked shots, underlined his two-way value. Svoboda scored seven goals and two assists and played a key role on the Penaltymoord throughout the season.
With the size and power of Murtagh added to the mix, the trio seems ready to deliver punishing hits and to close opposing lines – forming a unit that probably has a significant impact for the terriers, if they wear their chemistry from scrimmage to the regular season.
