New additions to Triumph’s retro motorcycle range include the 2026 Triumph Tracker 400 and Triumph Thruxton 400. The pair join the current model Scrambler 400 XC, as well as the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400

Power for both middleweight Triumphs comes from a liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC four-valve mill, producing 42bhp at 9,000rpm with peak torque of 37.5Nm at 7,500rpm from 398cc. A six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch delivers power to the rear wheel via chain final drive.

Inspired by flat track racing, the Tracker 400 features a tracker-style fuel tank, with functional knee recesses. This is accompanied by a fly screen and colour-coded seat cover, and the double-spoke wheels are fitted with dual-use block Pirelli MT60 RS tyres, 110/70-17 up front and 150/60-17 at the rear.

The Tracker 400’s suspension consists of black anodized 43mm upside-down forks with large pistons and 140mm of travel, while the rear monoshock offers 130mm of travel with adjustable spring preload. The tracker is stopped by single hydraulic discs front and rear, the front wheel gets a four-piston caliper, while the rear wheel is equipped with a single-piston caliper, and dual-channel ABS is standard equipment.

The weight of the Tracker 400 is 173 kg, while there are 13 liters of fuel in the tank and the seat height is fixed at 805 mm. The color options for the Tracker 400 are Aluminum Silver Gloss, Racing Yellow and Phantom Black.

Meanwhile, the identically engined Thruxton 400 comes from the café racer design school, with a fairing housing the classic round LED headlight and a clip-on handlebar fitted with bar-end mirrors. The Thruxton 400’s sporty appearance is further enhanced by a colour-coded seat shell, shortened rear fender and number plate hanger, plus compact LED lighting contributing to a minimalist, purposeful rear end, with upswept silencers completing the package.

The clip-on handlebars are 40mm narrower and 246mm lower than those of the Speed 400, while the rear-set footpegs are positioned 86mm further back and 27mm higher. This places the rider in a forward-tilted position, in keeping with the sporting character of the Thruxton 400.

At the front, black anodized upside-down 43mm large piston forks with 135mm of travel are mounted, while the rear is supported by a monoshock with adjustable spring preload and 130mm of travel. Like the Tracker 400, the Thruxton 400 dispenses with the use of single hydraulic brake discs, front and rear.

The Thruxton 400 weighs 176kg, has a 13-litre racing-style fuel tank with a Monza fuel cap, while the seat height is 795mm. There are four color schemes for the Thruxton 400: Phantom Black and Aluminum, Carnival Red Gloss with Aluminum Silver, Pearl Metallic White and Storm Grey, and Metallic Racing Yellow with Aluminum Silver.
