Now in Malaysia the Yamaha NVX 155 scooter from 2025, with prices for the NVX 155 ABS on RM11.998 and the NVX 155 SP on RM14.998. Prices for the NVX 155 do not include road tax, insurance or registration, and both model variants are sold in addition to the standard model Yamaha NVX 155, priced at RM9.998 in 2024.
Last year introduced for the first time in Indonesia as the Aerox Alpha, the NVX 155 ABS in Malaysia is the equivalent of the Aerox Alpha Cybercity, while the NVX 155 SP is the same as the Turbo variant in the ASEAN -BUURMAN of Malaysia. Not only a make -over, the NVX 155 ABS and SP are completely redesigned models, with all new body panels and lighting, while the seat height between rider and Pilion is clear.
Engine power is still the same, with a single cylinder BlueCore VVA mill that move 155 cc and deliver 15.4 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. What is new is the gearbox of Yamaha Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) equipped on the NVX 155 SP.
The Y-ECVT is called “Turbo” and acts as an electronic step down for the gearbox, called Y-Shift. A push of the button on the left steering pod activates a solenoid that brings the switch drum to a lower ratio, so that the rider can inform acceleration or experience the braking of the engine recording.
The mode is held while the accelerator pedal is constant and turning the throttle lever back to normal operation. There are three modes of the Y-Shift, Low, Medium and High, which means that there are corresponding changes in gearbox performance.
Safety equipment also receives a boost for the 2025 NVX 155, where the NVX 155 ABS with, as the same says, ABS. As an addition to this, the NVX 155 SP also receives traction control, two driving modi city and sports-if-if-if-if-if-if-if-out-of-the-meter with three display modes and Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, while the NVX 155 ABS gets a monochrome LCD meter.
ABS is ankle canal for both model variants, with brakes done by some hydraulic disc front and rear. Suspension is at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back with telescopic forks, while tire size is 14-inch front and rear, with 110/80 and 140/70 tires.
Seat height for the NVX 155 ABS and SP is set to 790 mm, while it is claimed that weight is 130 kg for the NVX 155 SP and 127 kg for the NVX 155 ABS, with 5.5 liters of fuel in the tank. Available color options are gunmetal gray, cyber blue, electric yellow and violet rush.
