On Friday, the American and European Ryder Cup teams start a three-day battle for the 45th Ryder Cup in Bethpage Black. Anticipation for the biennial exhibition has been built since the Europeans won the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome with the impressive margin of 16.5-11.5.
The Europeans hope to win their first cup abroad since the narrow competition in Medina in 2012, which won Europe 14.5-13.5.
Each team consists of 12 players. Six players in each team automatically qualified while the other six were selected by the respective captains of each team. Below you will find information about the players in each team, as well as the names of the captains and their assistants.
2025 US Ryder Cup -Team
Captain: Keegan Bradley
Keegan Bradley won the PGA championship in 2011 and played two Ryder Cup teams in 2012 and 2014, both of which were won by Europeans. Bradley has a 4-3-0 career record.
Vice -captains
Jim Furyk
Furyk participated in nine Ryder Cups as a player, with a 10-20-4 career record. For the fourth time, Furyk serves as a vice captain after the captain of the US Ryder Cup team in Paris in 2018.
Brandt Snudeker
Snedeker went 4-2-0 in two Ryder Cup performances, including a 3-0-0 performance in 2016. This year his first time marks as a vice-captain.
Gary Woodland
The US Open Champ 2019 has never played a Ryder Cup and serves as a vice captain for the first time.
Webb Simpson
Simpson, the US Open Champion 2012, serves as a vice-captain for the first time, but played in three Ryder Cups and got away with a 4-4-1 record.
Kevin Kisner
The four -time tour winner is now a lead analyst for the wave reports of NBC. Although Kisner never played a Ryder Cup, he won the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in 2019 and ended two other times.
American players
Scottie Scheffler
The World No. 1 just achieved his sixth PGA Tour victory of the year and the 19th of his career at the ProCore Championship. Scheffler has a 2-2-3 record in two Ryder Cup performances.

The reigning US Open Champ is one of the four Rookies in the US Ryder Cup team.
Xander Schauffele
Schauffele has a 4-4-0 record in two previous Ryder Cup performances.
Russell Henley
Henley makes his Ryder Cup debut. The 36-year-old PGA Tour veteran won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March for his fifth career victory.
Harris Engels
English was a captain of the Ryder Cup 2021 at Whistling Straits, where he went 1-2-0. He won the Farmers Insurance open earlier this year for his fifth career gain.
Bryson Dechambeau
DECHAMBEAU, a two-time champion, did not play the 2023 Ryder Cup, but has a 2-3-1 record in two previous Ryder Cup performances in 2018 and 2021.

Thomas has one win and three second place this season and plays in his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup after receiving a Captain’s Pick in 2023. He has a general record of 7-4-2.
Collin Morikawa
Morikawa plays his third consecutive Ryder Cup and has a general record of 4-3-1.
Ben Griffin
Griffin plays his first Ryder Cup after a banner year with two wins and two second place.
Cameron Young
Young, a resident of New York, became the first amateur player to ever won the New York State Open in Bethpage Black in 2017. He will make his Ryder Cup debut this year.

Burns was the choice of a captain for the second time after having gone 1-2-0 on the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome.
2025 European Ryder Cup -Team
Captain: Luke Donald
Between 2004 and 2012, Luke Donald played on four straight Ryder Cup teams, all four that Europe won, and Donald came away with a 10-4-1 individual record (good enough for No. 14 on the list of all time). Donald served twice as a vice -captain and led the European team from 2023 to victory in Rome. He tries to become the first European to give back-to-back victories since Tony Jacklin won three in a row between 1985 and 1989.
Vice -captains
Thomas Bjorn
Between 1997 and 2014, Bjorn played a winning European team on three winning European Ryder Cup teams and then captain in Paris in 2018. This year is the sixth time that Bjorn has been tapped as a vice captain.
Jose Maria Olazabal
A veteran of Seven Ryder Cups as a player (with a record of 18-8-5), Olazabal supplied the European team for the victory in Medina in 2012 and serves his fifth Stint as a vice-captain at Bethpage.
Edoardo Molinari
Molinari went 0-1-2 for Europe in his only Ryder Cup performance as a player in 2010 and will serve as vice-captain of Donald for the second time.
Francesco Molinari
This year, Francesco will return together with his brother for a second stint as a vice captain. Francesco’s 5-4-2 Record in three Ryder Cup performances is emphasized by his undefeated 5-0-0 performance in 2018 in Paris.
Alex Wie
Norwegians were considered in the race for the choice of a captain, but instead serves as a vice captain for the first time. The Swede went 2-1-0 in 2018 in Paris, the only cup he played so far in his career.
European players
Rory Mcilroy
The World No. 2 played his first Ryder Cup at the age of 21 in 2010 and has not missed since then. McIlroy plays Ryder Cup at Bethpage in his eighth career and has been part of five winning teams. He has placed a total of 18 points for Europe with a general record of 16-13-4, making him the 8th of all times of all time in terms of points. (Sergio Garcia is at the top of the list of 28.5 points.) The recent victory of McIlroy on the Irish Open was the 20th of his DP World Tour career.

Tommy Fleetwood
The reigning FedEx Cup champion achieved the headlines with several near-accident on the PGA Tour before he finally broken at Grand Mode to East Lake in August. Now in 6th place in the world, Fleetwood plays in his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup and has a 7-3-2 career record.
Justin Rose
Rose, at 45, is the oldest member of the European team. He plays his seventh career Ryder Cup and has a 14-9-3 general record for Europe.
Rasmus Hojgaard
After his twin brother Nicolai played for Europe in 2023, Ryder Cup debut makes his Ryder Cup debut. The 24-year-old has had five DP world tour since 2019.
