Andrew Novak has already had the best season of his career in 2025 – and he’s not done yet.
The 30-year-old won his first Tour title alongside teammate Ben Griffin at the Zurich Classic, in addition to a total of five top-10 finishes – one of which was second. Novak has amassed more than $7.6 million in winnings and easily cracked the top 50 of the FedEx Cup points list. The pressure is off this week in terms of job security, but now, with a one-shot lead heading into the weekend, he has a chance to take the first solo win of his career.
“I gave birth two weeks ago. I just got out of the house and I’m happy to be here, while other guys are fighting for their jobs,” Novak said after his round on Friday. “That is a huge advantage for me this week. It bothers me a little less. I definitely want to win. It is a local tournament, so there is extra motivation for me to play well here. But some guys have to ride their entire year this week.”
