Reigning Horse of the Year Thordedo Anna makes her fifth start of the year in the Personal flagsA tent race for older women on Saturday on Saratoga Race Course, which also pulled the winner of last year, Raging Sea. In fact, five of the seven participants are degrees 1 winners.

The personal flag is named after one of the most celebrated female racing horses in the sport, who retired with a perfect 13-out-13 record after winning the Distaff of 1988 Breeders’ Cup. This year’s event is a “victory and you are in” qualification for the 2025 Longines Distaff November 1 in Del Mar.

1. Randomized (4-1 Onderline Odds): Classy winner of multiple class 1 was second in the 2023 Breeders’ Cup Distaff and has been a fixture in the division for several years. She is a 3-out-6 career at Saratoga and performs a front running, three-length victory in the Molly Pitcher Stakes in Monmouth Park. She has established the pace in all six of her career extraction, so expects that she will be sent forward at a great pace.

3. Razing sea (5-1): Last year’s Distaff Runner-Up Thordedo Anna started the season with a bang, the beating of randomized, Dorth Father and Thordedo Anna in a victory of three-quarters length in the Fasig-Tipton La Troienne Stakes at Churchill Downs. She is third, beaten with 6 ½ lengths and 13 ½ lengths in two following starts, so she has to go back to her best to win.

4. Dorth Father (6-1): She won the Ogden Phipps Stakes on this track and distance from 6 June, with 4 ¾ lengths on a sloppy track against a field with four horses that will be confronted again, including Raging Sea and Randomized. She followed with a non -connected finish behind randomized in the Molly world in Monmouth Park, making it a bit of a question at this place.

JOCKEY: John Velazquez; TRAINER: George Weaver

5. Bernie (20-1): She is again a marey whose recent victories have all come when setting the pace, and she will be tested here in her first attempt in a graded deployment. Speed figures indicate that she is fast enough to be competitive, but she will have a lot of company from the front of proven winners of degree 1.

JOCKEY: Romero Maragy; TRAINER: Domenick Schettino

6. Leslie’s Rose (9-2): Posted career-top-equibase and Beyer speed figures in its most recent start, a 3 ¾ length victory in the Shuvee Stakes July 18 in Saratoga, where she defeated the Raging Sea and dazzling movement. She would probably have to improve again to beat Thordedo Anna, who defeated her in 2024 with five or more lengths in all three meetings, but she is in great form.

JOCKEY: Irad Ortiz Jr.; TRAINER: Todd Pletcher

7. Thordedo Anna (6-5): She bounced back from a leading seventh place in the La Troienne Stakes on 2 May with a three-length victory in the grade 2 phasig-fillon Fleur de Lis Stakes 28 June.
