Greatest strength: Joe Burrow, Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins
When Joe Burrow, Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins are all on the field, the Bengal can compete with everyone. Cincinnati Went 8-4 in games where the trio was healthy and active. Burrow remains one of the most important pocket passers of the competition, Chase is a dynamic threat from everywhere on the field and Higgins consistently wins against a few coverage. Together they help to mask many mistakes about the rest of the schedule.
Biggest weakness: attacking line
The insufficient offensive line game has been a constant in the anniversary of Joe Burrow in Cincinnati. The offensive line of the Bengal has finished in the bottom five in PFF degree in four of the five seasons of Burrow, including a campaign from 2024 that was in 29th place in both pass-blocking and run-blocking figure. Without major additions this season, the team will rely on internal improvement of a largely unaltered group.
Quarterback Spotlight: Joe Burrow
- 2024 pff -grade: 93.9
- Main stat: 93.0 Failure on throws released under 2.5 seconds (the best in the NFL)
The ability of Burrow to process defenses from the bag and to maintain the elite under pressure remains elite. He finished second alone Lamar Jackson last season in the passing degree and led the NFL in the passing degree on throws released in less than 2.5 seconds. He also avoided expensive mistakes and placed a career-best 1.9% turnover-worthy playing speed.
Offensive player: Wr Ja’Marr Chase
Chase led the NFL in receptions, received recruiting and touchdowns during the regular season 2024 – only became the fifth player since the merger to complete the triple crown. He is an explosive playmaker with elite consistency and has earned a reception figure between 84.9 and 86.7 in each of his four NFL seasons. Given the heavy dependence on the Bengal of their passing game, Chase will be ready for another dominant year in 2025.
Defensive player: Ed Trey Hendrickson
Trey Hendrickson emerged during his time in Cincinnati as one of the most important pass Rushers of the NFL. Since 2021 he has been in fifth place under qualified Edge Defenders in Passrush Grade (92.2), fourth in print percentage and eighth in Passrush Win Rate. That piece includes a dominant season of 2024 in which he led the competition in bags. Without Hendrickson, Cincinnati’s Pass Rush would hardly exist last year.
Rookie To Watch: Ed Shemar Stewart
The Bengal selected Shemar Stewart in the first round to strengthen Trey Hendrickson and the rest of the line of defense. Stewart is a rare athlete with high-quality physical tools, although his pass-rush Arsenal is still a work in progress. Although his impact can take a rusher time, he can immediately contribute to the run-by 88.2 Run-Defense-Grade is in sixth place under qualified FBS Edge Defenders last season.
Fantasy Spotlight: RB Tahj Brooks
Brooks proved that he can handle a real workhorse role Texas TechCollecting 665 accents in the past two seasons while maintaining strong efficiency. He peaked with an overall figure of 90.1 PFF in 2023 and exceeded the expectations at the NFL Scouting Combine, placing a 97th percent 20-Yard shuttle and an 84th percent three-nasty drill.
Although he may not be the most explosive back in this class, Brooks has the sustainability and consistency to wear a heavy workload and to keep the chains at the NFL level.
Best bet: QB Joe Burrow to lead the NFL in transient Yardage (+550)
Armed with two of the best recipients of the NFL, Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and a strong track record for success, Burrow will undoubtedly be in the race for the passing Yardage title of the NFL for a second consecutive season. His projection of more than 4,200 yards lands first in the fantasy projections of Pff, a number hastrow is more than able to get healthy.
Bottom Line
With Burrow, Chase and Higgins, the Bengal can compete with everyone. But to make the leap of the Playoff hopeful to real Super Bowl -Competent, they need a more reliable attacking line and a greater consistency for defense.
