Welcome to the 2025-26 Fantasy Basketball Rankings!
We will continue this wonderful journey (yes!) with other positions and formats, including all positional rankings for both ROTO and points competitions, and then of course all wrapped up with our Dynasty rankings. What will be released is just the pure rankings; Analysis and other amazing draft prep content (Ooooh, sounds so official with a made-up word!) to be released after our aforementioned “Journey” rankings.
Remember, it’s not about the destination, it’s about the friends we make along the way! Especially if it ends in a fantasy championship, in which case it’s kinda about the destination, which is fine too. Because who cares about friends when you can hoist a trophy in their general direction? I mean, I’m talking literally and figuratively here folks. As long as you hoist it, it counts. As they say, it’s all about the hoisting… (I think.)
What are my ranking bona fidas? Well, it finished in the FantasyPros Fantasy Football Top-10 Draft Accuracy (7th place) in 2017, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy (23rd place) in 2017, Top-5 Draft Accuracy (3rd place) in 2016, Top-10 Weekly Accuracy (10th place) in the Top-25 Weekly Accuracy in 2015 (21st place) and at Average Top 10 Design in the Top 10 Top 10 Top Accuracy (9th Overall) The Top 20 Weekly Accuracy (18th Overall) from 2014-2018. And this is from over 100 industry sites and year after year experts. Even though it’s the wrong sport, I’d like to think we’re pretty good at this kind of thing…
What does the word bona fidas mean? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, bo · na fi · des ˌbō-nə-əfī-ˌdēz, ÷ ˈbō-nə-əfīdz means 1: good faith: sincerity, 2: the fact of true plural in construction, of good faith or genuineness- in construction. On a separate note, I think it would make a great name for a cat.
What is my ranking process? I’ve actually written about this in the past, and instead of working hard for new and insightful content, I took the more efficient (lazy, ahem) method and dropped a link to that post here. Honestly, my process hasn’t changed much at all (the ole “Don’t Fix What Ain Not Broke” wording comes to mind) and so my “A Day in the Life of a Fantasy Football Ranker” story still remains relevant to today and now to Fantasy Basketball!
How should I use your rankings? The same way your mother did. Which doesn’t really make any sense. (Unless your mom is in the running to always finish top 3 in your Fantasy Basketball League. And if that’s the case, say hi to her for me.)
Jay is an old razzball everything who consumes an egregious number of creators as a vehicle to gain wisdom and increase his natural glow. Living in the DC area, he also enjoys spending time visiting the local parks and feeding lettuce to any turtles he comes across, including Mitch McConnell.
