First Chris Kreider, and now with our Ryan Lindgren report card, we will start the report of the report of the report Hopefully we remember the good that both have brought their Rangers -office periods while we are honest in assessing their versions last season. Just like Kreider, Lindgren was a favorite with fans who was traded for futures. Lindgren had spent 6 years in New York After being taken over In the Rick Nash trade, and although a favorite with fans, his last year was quite rough.

Lindgren was poorly outdated before last year when the Rangers did not commit a long term with the defender of the “top pairs”. It was clear to many that Lindgren was no longer a top -parendy defender, although he was routinely forced to play in the line -up when Peter Laviolette held with “Ole Retariable”, even if it was no longer reliable. His role was not necessarily his fault, but we must assess our Ryan Lindgren report card in mind.

You do not need graphics or statistics to know that Lindgren was really struggling in his last two years. Never an offensive driver, the strengths of Lindgren were in his skates and the ability to defend high danger areas in his own zone. Unfortunately, injuries caught up with Lindgren and faded its effectiveness over time. The big problem with Lindgren was not necessarily his fault, because none of the coaching staff was prepared to move him in the line -up. His defensive statistics absolutely refueled because of these injuries and ineffectiveness. His increased role did not help either.

Although Lindgren set up his best offensive season with 19 points, and also his career high in Assists Bond, he was a significant net negative on the ice. We just won’t know what could have been if laviolette or Gerard Gallant Lindgren moved in the line -up when he started to struggle and showed considerable wear.

Lindgren was a warrior for the Rangers. There is an alternative universe where it is moved in the line -up and K’andre Miller is moved. Maybe we see the Rangers Florida bring to 7 games in the play -offs of 2024 if this happens. But it never did. The decline of Lindgren was inevitable, but his role had a significant impact on accelerating the decline. This year was no different. He tried, he just couldn’t do it in that role anymore.
