Manufacturers focused on filling gaps in their adventure bike portfolio. While existing bicycles were given additional functions and electronics, giving them a broader appeal. The full-size adventure bikes kept doing what they were doing, adding sci-fi features to their arsenal. On that note, here is our list of the ten best adventure motorcycles of 2025.
CFMoto Capricorn 450
Price: $6,499
The CFMoto Ibex 800 E is a very impressive product, and in 2025 its smaller brother, the Ibex 450, was launched. This is a newly developed model and exhibits all the hallmarks of a CFMoto product: a low price and an extreme focus on delivering value for the price. It has the segment’s only 270-degree parallel twin engine and a five-inch curved TFT display. There’s also switchable rear ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, fully adjustable KYB suspension, tubeless spoke rims and an adjustable windscreen, all at a price below the competition.
Engine type | 270°I2 |
Displacement | 449cc |
Maximum power | 44 hp at 8,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | 32.5 LB-FT @ 6,250 rpm |
Kawasaki KLE500
Price: $6,599
The KLE name is a respected one, so when Kawasaki chose to revive it, we knew it had to be a good product. The KLE500 fills a clear gap in Team Green’s ADV range and offers a modern off-road capable alternative to the KLR650. It uses the engine and gearbox from the Ninja 500, in addition to a trellis frame, adjustable wheel and 21/17-inch spoked rims. These have inner tubes, so more aggressive tires are just an upgrade away. The SE version asks $900 more, but in return offers a TFT display, LED indicators, metal-reinforced handguards, a harder engine skid plate and a larger windshield.
Engine type | 180°I2 |
Displacement | 451cc |
Maximum power | 51 hp at 10,000 rpm (estimated) |
Maximum torque | 31.7 LB-FT @ 7,500 rpm |
2026 Beta Alp 4.0
Price: $6,790
The Alp 4.0 is almost, but not exactly, a dual-sport bike. It could also be an ADV, as it has a new engine with legs that allow for revving while retaining the DNA that makes Beta so good at off-road racing. The bike offers two different engine maps, the ABS can be turned off and it looks like nothing else on the road. The choice of just a form-fitting front fender is an interesting design for a motorcycle that clearly loves off-road situations.
Engine type | Single cylinder |
Displacement | 348cc |
Maximum power | 35 hp @ 9,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | THAT |

KTM 390 Adventure R
Price: $7,699
The 390 Adventure R looks nothing like the model it replaced. This isn’t a job on a street bike; this is designed for both touring and off-road in equal measure. You get a fully adjustable suspension, six-axis IMU, two-way quickshifter and switchable traction control and ABS. You also have a TFT display, riding modes, cruise control and tubeless spoke rims. These are all big bike features in a small bike!
Engine type | Single cylinder |
Displacement | 399cc |
Maximum power | 44 hp at 8,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | 28.7 LB-FT @ 6,700 rpm |
Moto Morini X-Cape 700
Price: $8,299
The X-Cape 700 replaces the X-Cape 650 and brings it in line with its other middleweight bikes, the Calibro 700 and Calibro 700 Bagger. This parallel twin engine is liquid cooled, fuel injected and has a 270 degree crankshaft. It delivers enough power and torque for this segment, and also has some good features. They include tubeless spoke rims, Brembo brakes, switchable rear ABS, a 7-inch TFT display and adjustable hand levers and windscreen. It helps that it looks like it’s a lot more expensive than it actually is!
Engine type | 270°I2 |
Displacement | 693cc |
Maximum power | 70 hp at 8,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | 50.2 LB-FT @ 6,500 rpm |
Honda XL750 Transalp
Price: $9,999
The Transalp was always a good purchase, but in 2025 it took a clear step forward. The drivetrain remained the same, but the suspension was tweaked for a better experience, and it gained a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation, a standard two-way quickshifter, a revised windshield and newer switchgear that could really make it a one-stop shop for anything you might want to do with an adventure bike. Of course, it maintained great value for the money, staying under $10,000 and offering the most power of an ADV within that budget.
Engine type | 270°I2 |
Displacement | 755cc |
Maximum power | 90.5 hp at 9,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | 55.3 LB-FT @ 7,250 rpm |

Aprilia Tuareg rally
Price: $13,799
The Tuareg is already one of the more capable middleweight ADVs, but this is a hardcore version designed to really tackle the dirt. The suspension’s different spring rates make it better suited to high-speed driving in rough terrain, the tires and wheels are different for better grip on tarmac, and the APRC electronics suite has different tuning to optimize it for use with these mechanical changes. It has a distinct look that draws from Aprilia’s racing heritage, so you can’t mistake it for a standard motorcycle.
Engine type | 270°I2 |
Displacement | 659cc |
Maximum power | 80 hp at 9,250 rpm |
Maximum torque | 51.6 LB-FT @ 6,500 rpm |
MV Agusta Enduro Veloce
Price: $16,998
The Enduro Veloce is THE off-road-ready MV Agusta. It’s surprisingly affordable for a premium brand, but it doesn’t skimp on anything that makes it an MV. That means there’s an inline three-cylinder engine running in the opposite direction, 124 horsepower, Brembo Stylema brakes, Sachs’ fully adjustable suspension and some of the best electronics, backed by a six-axis IMU, on board. Moreover, in his Italian way, he finds it very important to limit his top speed, and with one of these you can go up to almost 220 km/h!
Engine type | Counter-rotating I3 |
Displacement | 981 cc |
Maximum power | 124 hp at 10,000 rpm |
Maximum torque | 75.2 LB-FT @ 7,000 rpm |
BMW R 1300 GS Adventure
Price: $23,795
The R 1300 GS Adventure is the overlander version of the large GS and distinguishes itself by offering space for almost 8 liters of fuel. It retains everything else we love about the regular GS, including the electronic double wishbone front suspension, single-sided swingarm, shaft drive and full electronics. The liquid-cooled boxer engine has variable valve timing on the intake valves, and an automatic gearbox can also be specified, but it costs $28,315 for the upgrade.
Engine type | Longitudinal boxer twin |
Displacement | 1,300 cc |
Maximum power | 145 hp at 7,750 rpm |
Maximum torque | 110 LB-FT @ 6,500 rpm |

Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally
Price: $31,995
The Multistrada V4 Rally is the Italian answer to the R 1300 GS Adventure. It has an equally large fuel tank, an extremely powerful engine and all the technology you could ever dream of. There is a six-axis IMU, a TFT display and a two-way quickshifter. The electronic suspension automatically lowers at low speed and makes it easier to take it off the stand. The engine is a true gem, with the shift to valve springs meaning a valve clearance check interval of up to 60,000 kilometers, and features such as deactivation of the rear cylinder bank.
Engine type | Counter-rotating 90° V4 |
Displacement | 1,158 cc |
Maximum power | 170 hp at 10,500 rpm |
Maximum torque | 92.2 LB-FT @ 8,750 rpm |
