No reserve auctions can be rare, but when someone comes on the market, they can create a copper frenzy and break records.
And if luck is on your side, you can theoretically pick up a house for just $ 1.
Ray White Collective Principal and Auctioning Haesley Cush said that no reserve auctions looked a bit like the grand finale for the real estate market.
“I have only mentioned four others (no reserve auctions) as one of the other 30,000 auctions and each is memorable,” he said.
“There is no reserve. The property will sell to the highest bidder.
“So if you offer $ 100 and offer no one else, buy it.”

“When I asked the owner why (he sold without a reserve), he told me he just had to sell it,” said Mr. Cush.
“It is a daring approach that requires complete confidence in real estate and the market.
“Just like Grand Final Day, there can only be one winner.”
Mr. Kouparitis said that the character house with three bedrooms is on a block of 820 m² overlooking the city.

It has a large facade, polished wooden floors, VJ walls, French doors, decorative ceilings and a swimming pool, and it is the only one not a reserve auction currently mentioned in Queensland.
“It has already been popular,” Mr Kouparitsas said, adding that it was not his first auction auction since he turned to real estate in 2012.
“It needs work, it does, but it has a lot of potential.
“We have seen a good mix of interested people, including young families, and opportunistic buyers such as builders and developers.”

Owner James Barnier, a four -year -old father, said that the building should be sold on an auction day and that he felt cheerful about the campaign.
“We lived in the building for 14 months before we moved to Kalinga,” said Mr. Barnier.
“This feature has a lot of character, and it is on a raised block that we really enjoyed – it gets a good breeze.”
Mr. Barnier, a business development manager for a commercial construction company, said that this kind of real estate was ‘wanted’ in Brisbane.
He said the building was close to Kedron Brook, where he often walked his dogs.
“The children play rugby for Norths, so we spend a lot of time in the area – it’s a wonderful location,” said Mr. Barnier.
Mr. Cush said that the upcoming no reserve auction was a “rare opportunity”.
“In my auction world world every five to 10 years I met an owner who says they want to sell their property, without a reserve,” said Mr. Cush.
“As an auctioneer, many will never call one and if you do that, the weight of the outcome is completely on the shoulders of the agent and auctioneer.”

Founder and agent of the buyer Simon Presley of the buyer said that although no reserve auctions were rare, buyers were still needed to perform their due diligence.
But he said that in the right circumstances a no reserve auction can be a “smart move”.
“Buyers have to remember to keep emotion out, because there is often much more hype,” he said.
“But you have that extra clarity knowing that it will sell to the highest bidder on the day.
“Be disciplined, have a game plan and are not swept and go beyond your resources.”
