Super Eagles Striker Tolu Arokodare is back in Lagos for his vacation and was seen with his youth club, Box2box FC.
The 24-year-old, who plays for the Belgian side Genk, returned to the famous field on Legacy Pitch in Surulere, where his football trip began. The visit of Arokodare to Box2Box FC, where he once trained as a young player before moving to Europe, brought both fans and local coaches.

Although he also had spells on Kash Academy and Flying Sports Academy, it was at Box2box FC that Arokodare received real attention for the first time. His rough talent impressed scouts and later earned him with European clubs such as SC Freiburg and Toulouse.
Now one of the smartest football talents in Nigeria, Arokodare recently enjoyed a striking season in Belgium. He was appointed in the Belgian Pro League team of the 2024/25 season, after he ended as a top scorer of the competition with 21 goals. He also won the Golden Boot and the Ebony Shoe Award – the last one to the best African player in the competition.
Despite the struggles of the Genk in the Play-Offs, the targeting form of Arokodare made him a striking striker in the competition and a key name in the Super Eagles team.
His return to Train in Box2box During the low season is a moving memory of his modest beginning and a source of inspiration for young football players in Lagos.
