Do not ignore new bumps on the skin, even if they do not look like typical warning signals with a red flag of skin cancer, a prominent doctor has warned.
Melanoma is one of the most dangerous types of cancer, good for four of the five dead.
Experts have long encouraged the public to look out at moles that have grown in size, have changed color or shape, because these are meaningful signs that it can have become cancer -like.
But now, Dr. John O’Bryen, a specialized doctor at Body Scan Skin Cancer Clinic, Australia wants to remind people that not all melanomas are present such as freckles or birthmarks.
“Not all melanomas are brown and black,” he said in one Tap Video that has been viewed nearly 106,000 times.
In the video he showed a close-up of ‘the worst melanoma’ that he has ever seen the second most common melanoma type that can develop anywhere on the body.
“Nodular melanomas grow rapidly and cause the greatest fatality,” he reminded his followers before he encouraged them to visit a doctor if they are concerned about any changes in their skin.
He explained: ‘A man came to me last week, worried about a new bump on his arm. It was red and quickly grew in size. ‘
The melanoma was about 4 mm wide and presented as raised, sturdy and grow.
The seconds long clip saw the medic with an enlarged lens to really zoom in on the painful -looking legion, which revealed a fragmentary network of bloody vessels and white spots.
Further inspection revealed ‘white polarizing lines’ and ‘polymorphic barrels’, both of which point to skin cancer.
According to Cancer Research UK, nodular melanomas are growing down the tendency to grow down in the deeper skin layers.
A meaningful sign of this type of melanoma is an increased area on the surface of the skin everywhere on the body.
This type of cancer is usually found in people in forty and 50.
When diagnosing melanoma skin cancer – cancer that starts in cells mentioned in the skin melanocytes, tissue along some parts of the body, such as the mouth, and the eye – actors typically use a checklist known as the ABCDES.
This includes asymmetry, border, color, diameter and evolving moles as meaningful warning signals for the disease.

However, the charity warns that having some of these changes themselves is not sure melanoma-with some non-cancer-like birthmarks that itches the surrounding skin.
Yet Dr. O’Bryen with his followers to contact their doctor when they experience changes in their skin, even if they have none of the ABCDE boards.
This can help doctors diagnose the cancer early before it has spread over the body.

As such, the NHS recommends staying out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, when UV rays are the strongest, keep legs and arms covered and use sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30.
