LL Cool J and Jazmine Sullivan have announced their support for the striking members of the Municipal Workers Union of Philadelphia by drawing their planned performances during the Wawa Welcome America Fourth of July concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Both artists said that they would not exceed the picket line and establish a clear stand in solidarity with the employees.
According to CBS NewsLegendary Hip-Hop Artist LL Cool J announced in a video that was posted on social media on 3 July that he decided not to “exceed a picket line” while the employees and the city continued to negotiate for a liveable wage.
