Armed immigration and customs enforcement agents have robbed an underground nightclub and Italian restaurants in South California on Friday.

In the early hours of Friday morning, ICE agents arrested 36 Chinese and Taiwanese citizens who are suspected of being illegal in the country in an underground nightclub in Los Angeles.

The exact address of the nightclub was not provided by Homeland Security Officers of Los Angeles, who also helped with the operation.

The desk shared a video X From an officer who is preparing for the raid by setting up a vest in a parking lot for sunrise.

The video then cuts to a daylight scene, where a group of people are seen in a sidewalk outside a building, some with their heads lowered.

Officers are shown to captivate the individuals and place them in white vans.

Members of the Task Force El Camino Real Financial Crimes have also helped with the raid, although their role is unclear.

The independent has contacted the LAPD and the El Camino Real Financial Crimes Task Force for comment.

On Friday afternoon in San Diego, witnesses in Enoteca Buona Forchetta, an Italian restaurant, HSI agents watched the eatery to storm and used Flash Bang Grenades to spread an angry crowd around their trucks.

San Diego PD also responded to try to control the crowd, CBS 8 reports.

According to employees, both locations of Buona Forchetta on Beech Street were robbed.

Claire Cody, an employee of the restaurant, told the news exit that federal agents rushed around 4.30 pm, announced that they had an order and immediately fascinated every employee present.

The agents then supervised the fascinated employees to the central restaurant location, where the entire staff were held while their IDs were checked.

Some employees have been removed, but the exact number is unclear.

“There was no stopping,” Cody told CBS 8. “There were 30 ice cream [agents]. I mean, we were all in shock. ‘

The restaurant, which usually had to do with a Friday-in awaiting customers, was forced to close, the staff who placed a “closed” sign before the dinner service, according to CBS 8.

The independent has contacted representatives for the San Diego PD, HSI Los Angeles and ICE for comment.

These recent raids are part of a broader federal initiative under President Donald Trump’s second term. This initiative, known as Operation Safeguard, aims to hold and deport immigrants without papers, in particular those in urban areas.
