A rocket fired by the Houthi rebels of Yemen has been slipped by the advanced air defense systems of Israel, near the most important airport of the country and some people in the neighborhood “slightly injured” left behind.
Video that is shared on social media shows the rocket that closes in the ground near one of the parking garages of Ben Gurion Airport, with shrapnel that lose parts of the passenger, positions outside the terminal.
It is the fourth rocket that is fired by the Houthis in Israel in the same number of days.

Warning Sirenes called on Sunday at 9.22 am on Tel Aviv and Centraal -Israël when the rocket was detected and Booms could be heard in the center of Jerusalem while the “Iron Dome” defense system tried to shoot it out of the sky.
Thousands were then divided into the terminal and video by passengers showing people who run and shout while the rocket struck outside.
Israël’s ambulance service Magen David Adom said eight people were treated for injuries after the rocket, including explosite trauma and injuries they suffered while hurrying to bomb shelters.
Flights were temporarily grounded on Ben Gurion, but were resumed about an hour after the rocket and the public transport to and from the terminal also started again.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the incident was assessed, but added: “Various attempts were made to intercept the rocket”.
In recent weeks, the United States has positioned Thaad Anti-Ballist Rocket Capers Systems in Israel, which strengthens the existing iron umbrella system.
It seems that it was still not enough to prevent the rocket from getting through.

A Houthi officer has told the Al-Aaby Network-based network based in Qatar that the attack was proof of the group’s ability to touch sensitive locations in Israel.
The Houthis are considered a terrorist organization according to Australian legislation.
The Israel Katz of Israel has issued a warning after the attack.
“Anyone who is damaging us, we will hit them seven times,” he said.

A number of airlines immediately canceled flights from Ben Gurion after the attack.
Lufthansa, Austrian airlines, Italian courier ITA, Air Serbia, Air Europa, Brussels Airlines, Air France and United all deleted flights on Sunday afternoon.
It is unclear whether it is a temporary move.

One Air India flight from New Delhi was forced to lead to Abu Dhabi after the rocket.
Some carriers had suspended the services to Tel Aviv as a result of the war in Gaza, and the renewed fights between Israel and the Lebanese militant group of Hezbollah after October 7, 2023.
Some services had begun to return after the ceasefire with Hezbollah at the end of 2024, and the now shattered truce between Israel and Hamas in January and February.
