A young girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he has been hit by a car.
The girl, who is eight years old, was found unconscious on the road after he was hit by a holding SUV. Emergency services ran on stage after reports that a pedestrian was hit by a car.
Around 10.40 am on Sunday, May 25, the emergency services were called to Somerville Road, Hornby Heights in the north of Sydney. The young girl, not mentioned, was brought to the children’s hospital in Westmead in a critical condition.
A statement from the NSW police is: “A young girl is in a critical condition after being hit today by a car in the north of Sydney. Around 10.40 am (Sunday, May 25, 2025), emergency services were called to Somerville Road, Hornsby Heights, according to reports that a pedestrian was hit by a car.
“Officers affiliated with the KU-Ring-Gai Police Area Command arrived to find an 8-year-old girl on the road unconscious after he was hit by a hold SUV.
“The girl was treated by NSW ambulance paramedics before he was taken into a critical state by road to the children’s hospital in Westmead.
Questions are in progress and everyone with information about the incident has been encouraged to contact the police via crime stoppers.
