Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, was removed from the living room on Tuesday evening after disturbing the joint address of President Donald Trump to the congress.
Green, who has long insisted on accusing Trump from his previous term of office, stood and shook his stick to the president in the first minutes of his speech.
Other legislators welcomed and grabbed green, creating further chaos on the house floor while Trump paused his speech. The commotion brought house speaker Mike Johnson, R-la, to read out loud from house rules.
“Members are instructed to maintain and maintain the decorum in the house and to stop further disruptions,” said Johnson, a admonition aimed at Green.
After Green refused to sit and allow Trump to continue, Johnson called on the sergeant of the house to remove him from the room.

The room on Tuesday evening was filled with other signs of protest and pushback.
Members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus Wore pink To protest against Trump’s policy towards women and families. Other Democrats wore blue and yellow ties to support Ukraine, days after Trump and vice president JD Vance were confused with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zenskyy in a Unexpectedly hostile oval office meeting.
Also visible on some democratic members: stickers that accuse Elon Musk of ‘Social Security Steelen’. Musk, a billionaire whose government efficiency is initiative Research into the finances of social securityhas called the program A “Ponzi schedule”.
Some Democrats also held black paddles with the text “Save Medicaid”, “Protect Veterans” and “Musk Steals.” Rep. Rashida Tlalib, D-Mich., Held a white plate with the text: “That’s a lie.”
