Sweden meet Germany in a top of group C -Showdown to determine who the group winners are progressing.
Sweden will win the group if they avoid the defeat, while Germany has to win to get the first place in the group.
Team news
Sweden have no worries for new injuries to report that this match will be in this match, with Linda Sembrant and Jonna Andersson having a return to the starting line-up after they had been dropped for the 3-0 win over Poland.
Germany is not worried about fresh injuries, although Captain, Giulia Gwinn remains offside with a tournament-ending medial collateral ligament injury.
When is the kick -off?
Sweden will be on Saturday 12 July at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. UK Time), live on ITV1 and ITVX in the United Kingdom of Germany in Stadium in Stadium in Stadium, Zurich, Switzerland, on Saturday 12 July at 9 p.m.
Scale
- Sweden have never defeated Germany at UEFA Women’s Euro (L4) (3-2-1995, 1-0-1997, 3-1-2001, 1-0-2013, 0-0-2017)
- Germany has kept three clean sheets in their five previous meetings against Sweden at the UEFA Women’s Euro.
- Sweden scored six goals in their last three games without giving in to all competitions (W3).
- Two of the four goals in Germany in this group were scored by Lea Schuller.
Prediction
With three straight clean sheets and a dominant display over Poland where they controlled the game almost from the start, Sweden must now use that trust because this will be a heavy test of their references, especially from a defensive perspective.
Germany, however, will be floating by how they feel back to eliminate Denmark from a goal during the rest in the midst of debatable VAR decisions, so I expect that they are for this in view of their head-to-head superiority about the Swedes and the top spot will be extra motivation.
However, I can see that Sweden does enough defensive to frustrate the Germans, but are clinical enough to take a draw in front of securing the top spot and a place in the easier-looking half of the knockout phases.
Prediction: Sweden 1-1 Germany
